Baseline at Erindale reopened following collision that downed hydro pole

Ottawa police are investigating a serious collision in the city’s west end that resulted in the downing of a hydro pole.
Police were called to the intersection of Baseline Road near the intersection of Erindale Drive late Friday night after getting a call about a single car hitting a hydro pole.
Crews were on scene for most of the night as they investigated the collision.
The area was closed due to the damage pole. The east bound lanes of Baseline at Erindale were closed.
The scene, however, has since been cleared.
Motorists are asks to avoid the area and exercise caution should they need to drive through.
There is no word on injuries.
