LRT construction closing Pinecrest Road on-ramp to 417 for eight months

The on-ramp from Pinecrest Road northbound to the Highway 417 westbound is closing for eight months.
The closure is set to begin at 12 a.m. on Monday, March 1 for Stage 2 light rail transit (LRT) construction, and will stay closed until November.
During the closure, the city is advising motorists of the following detours:
From Pinecrest Road north of Highway 417:
- Turn left on Richmond Road
- Enter Highway 417 at Richmond Road on-ramp
From Greenbank Road south of Highway 417:
- Turn left on Baseline Road
- Turn right on Richmond Road
- Turn left on Holly Acres Road
- Enter Highway 417 at Holly Acres Road on-ramp
The city says additional ramp closures will be required at Moodie Drive in the spring and at Pinecrest Road in the fall.
Cycling and pedestrian routes will remain open.
