Trial for driver charged in connection to Westboro bus crash begins Monday

The trial of the bus driver charged in connection to the Westboro bus crash begins Monday, March 22.

Aissatou Diallo, 44, is facing 38 charges relating to the incident — 35 of those charges are for dangerous driving causing bodily harm and three charges are for dangerous driving causing death.

Judy Booth, Bruce Thomlinson and Anja Van Beek died after the bus collided with the Westboro Station platform on January 11, 2019.

More than 20 other passengers on the bus also suffered various injuries.

Diallo has pleaded not guilty to the charges she is facing.
