COVID-19 outbreak cleared at Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus after 48 cases, nine deaths

Ottawa Public Health (OPH) says a deadly COVID-19 outbreak is over at The Ottawa Hospital's Civic Campus.
The outbreak was first reported on February 19, 2021, and lasted until Tuesday, April 13.
Over the course of the outbreak, 28 patients and 20 staff members contracted the novel coronavirus and nine patients died because of it.
OPH continues to report 18 outbreaks at local healthcare institutions — most with just a few cases of COVID-19 listed on the health unit's dashboard.
Outbreaks are also ongoing in 20 schools and two childcare centres.
OPH is also monitoring 10 community outbreaks, four of which are linked to restaurants.
