Gatineau police investigating lewd acts, sexual assault in Aylmer

By Alex Black

The Gatineau Police Service (SPVG) is investigating several reports of a man touching himself outside of homes in the Aylmer area, as well as a recent break and enter involving a sexual assault.

The SPVG says concerned citizens have reported numerous incidents in the areas of Chemin Fraser, Prom Wynchwood, Rue Juniper Street and Rue Armor, between Thursday, June 24, and Tuesday, June 29.

Police are also investigating a break and enter and sexual assault that happened in the same area on Saturday, June 26. Police say, in that case, the victim was able to scare the perpetrator away.

The SPVG believes these incidents could be connected and has increased the police presence in the area.

Anyone who witnesses an indecent act is urged to report it by calling the SPVG at 819 246-0222.
