Man injured in Sandy Hill shooting, police searching for witnesses

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is investigating a shooting that took place in Sandy Hill. 

Officers were called to the area of Sweetland Avenue and Osgoode Street at 11:20 p.m. on Friday, July 2, where they found a 32-year-old man with gunshot wounds. 

The man sustained serious injuries but is now in stable condition. 

Police did not disclose any suspect information in their release issued Monday.

Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area or who may have dashcam footage or security footage to contact the Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5493.
