SIU investigating death of Ottawa man on Woodroffe Avenue

Ontario's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 61-year-old man in Ottawa.

Preliminary information suggests Ottawa Police Service (OPS) officers visited a home on Woodroffe Avenue to make arrest on July 15, at 3:55 p.m.
 
A man answered the door and returned inside briefly. The SIU says, a short time later, the man was found dead and taken to hospital.

The SIU is urging anyone who may have information about this investigation to contact its lead investigator at 1-800-787-8529. 

The Unit is also urging anyone who may have any video evidence related to this incident to upload that video through the SIU website.
