UPDATE: Impaired driving causing bodily harm among charges in crash near Dow’s Lake

The Ottawa Police Service is charging a 24-year-old Ottawa man with impaired and dangerous driving offences after a crash which sent another man to hospital with serious injuries.

Officers responded to a single-vehicle crash around 1:30 a.m., Friday, August 19, on Queen Elizabeth Driveway, between Preston Street and Crescent Heights.

Police say a 23-year-old man remains in hospital. His condition was listed as critical earlier in the day on Friday.

Adam Amedeo Aurora has been charged with: 

  • Impaired operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm
  • Fail or refuse to comply with demand – bodily harm
  • Dangerous operation causing bodily harm

Aurora is scheduled to appear in court, Friday. 

Police continue to investigate the crash.
