No injuries reported in two-vehicle Barrhaven crash

Drivers and passengers of two vehicles are safe following a crash that happened in front of a Metro Supermarket in Barrhaven.

According to police, the incident happened just after 6 p.m. on Thursday in front of the Metro Supermarket on Strandherd Drive near Woodroffe Avenue.

Police vehicles were on scene investigating the crash, and officers were directing traffic.

One grey vehicle was struck on the back passenger side, causing debris to fall off.

Firefighters were on scene after a report of a smoking tire. No extrication was needed.

Paramedics confirmed to CityNews Ottawa that they were not on the scene. There were no reported injuries.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
