Nepean Sportsplex employee tests positive for COVID-19

By Mike Vlasveld

The City of Ottawa says one of its Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services employees has tested positive for COVID-19.

The person was last working at the Nepean Visual Arts Centre and Nepean Sportsplex on November 10, and was asymptomatic at the time.

The city says the employee wasn't feeling well on November 11, and got tested for the virus that day. A positive test was confirmed on November 12.

The person is self-isolating at home.

If customers have concerns of exposure, they can contact Ottawa Public Health at 613-580-6744 to speak to a public health nurse or visit ottawapublichealth.ca.
