Senators activate eight players, assistant coach from COVID-19 protocol

Goaltender Matt Murray, forwards Connor Brown, Alex Formenton, Dylan Gambrell and Austin Watson, plus defencemen Josh Brown, Nick Holden and Victor Mete have all been activated, the team reported Saturday.
The Senators said assistant coach Jack Capuano has also been removed from the list.

Just two Senators players remain in protocol: forward Drake Batherson and defenceman Nikita Zaitsev.
The NHL postponed three Senators games in the wake of the outbreak with Ottawa set to return to action Monday against the Colorado Avalanche.
Ottawa is last in the Atlantic Division with a 4-10-1 record and has lost seven of its past eight games.
