Shooting under investigation in neighbourhood just off Orléans Boulevard

One man is recovering from gunshot wounds after a shooting on Summerfields Crescent, just east of Orléans Boulevard.

Ottawa police officers responded to the area after getting a 911 call indicating gunshots had been heard around 8 p.m.on Wednesday, December 22. 

A short time later, another caller told authorities a man had been shot while in his car on Summerfields Crescent, but that he had returned home, a few kilometres from the crime scene. Officers were dispatched to his location and found a man with serious injuries. 

The man was taken to hospital and is now in stable condition. 

Police say there is no known threat to public safety following this shooting, but investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have information about the incident. They are also looking for anyone who may have dashcam footage or video security footage from the area.
