Four teens charged after Ottawa police seize loaded firearm during Hunt Club Road traffic stop

Three 18-year-olds and a 17-year-old are facing weapon-related charges after a traffic stop on Hunt Club Road.

Ottawa police officers say a vehicle was pulled over for a Highway Traffic Act violation on Wednesday, January 5. 

The officer conducting the stop smelled marijuana and searched the vehicle, per the Cannabis Control Act. 

A loaded handgun was then found in the vehicle, and the driver and three passengers were arrested. 

Ogyeth Peter Mojowk Mayum, 18, Ezzuldin Al-Majmaie, 18, Imena Rwigamba, 18, and a 17-year-old youth, all from Ottawa, were charged and appeared in court on Thursday.
