Ottawa police confirm four charges laid against truck convoy protest organizer Pat King

Ottawa police have confirmed that convoy protest organizer Pat King was arrested and charged on Friday, February 18.
The 44-year-old King from Red Deer, Alta., was charged with:
- Mischief
- Counselling to commit the offence of mischief
- Counselling to commit the offence of obstruct police
- Counselling to commit the offence of disobey court order
Police initially refused to confirm King’s arrest to CityNews but released a statement about it Saturday, February 19.
King, who livestreamed his own arrest on Facebook Friday, is set to appear in court Saturday to face charges related to his role in the demonstration.
King is one of three convoy organizers who have been arrested as police ramped up their presence in the downtown core.
Tamara Lich and Chris Barber were both arrested earlier in the week.
Barber, 46, of Swift Current, Sask., was charged with:
- Counselling to commit the offence of mischief
- Counselling to commit the offence of disobey court order
- Counselling to commit the offence of obstruct police
Lich, 49, of Medicine Hat, Alta., was charged with:
- Counselling to commit the offence of mischief
An Ontario Court granted Barber bail and Lich is set to appear in an Ottawa courtroom Saturday for a bail hearing.
Justice Julie Bourgeois released Barber on a $100,000 bond and on the conditions he leave Ontario by next Wednesday and not publicly endorse the convoy or have any contact with the other major protest organizers.
