Emergency crews in Lanark County were kept busy with two fires on the evening of April 11.
Firefighters from the Carleton Place Fire Department responded to an eight-unit fire at an apartment building in Carleton Place, where two people had to be pulled to safety through a window.
Earlier in the evening, fire crews also responded to a house fire in Pakenham.
Ottawa Fire Services (OFS), the Mississippi Mills Fire Department and members of the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) also responded to assist at both fire scenes.
In a tweet, OPP East Region cited the incredible bravery and teamwork from the multiple services.
