Ottawa resident claims big prize money

A father of one from Ottawa is one million dollars richer after winning the Instant Jackpot from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG).

Robert Myles said he’s won minor prizes before, but never this much.

“I play the lottery about once a week,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “I was checking my tickets and I thought I won one thousand dollars. I was so shocked and happy with that amount! Then I realized it's a one million win. My eyes couldn't believe what I was seeing!”

He plans to pay some bills, invest, purchase a condo and help his family.

The winning ticket was purchased at Loblaws on Merivale Road in Nepean.
