Rainfall warning issued for Ottawa

A new rainfall warning issued by Environment Canada says Ottawa should expect heavy rain later today.
“Rainfall amounts of 40 to 60 mm may lead [to] water ponding on roadways and localized flooding in low-lying areas,” the alert states.
Environment Canada says showers and thunderstorms are expected to move across the area later today and the rain will continue intermittently through Monday before coming to an end late Monday night.
