Man arrested by Brockville police for causing a disturbance near businesses

Brockville police arrested a man on Sept. 15 after responding to a call about a male screaming and waving a knife near businesses. 

According to a Brockville Police Service release, officers responded to the call at around 10:30 a.m. and arrested the 36-year-old man for causing a disturbance. 

Police say after searching him, no knife was found, and it was revealed that the man was waving a vape pen and not a knife. 

The man was later released, and police say there was no danger to public safety.
