Gatineau police officers seize large quantity of illegal cigarettes from a home in Hull

The Service de Police de la Ville de Gatineau (SPVG) seized a massive haul of illegal cigarettes from a home in Hull last week.

In a release, the SPVG said officers raided a home on Rue Muchtmore following a two week investigation.

SPVG said neighbours tipped the service off about illegal tobacco sales at the home and the operation netted more than 27,000 illegal cigarettes. A 59-year-old woman is facing charges under the Tobacco Act.
