Starting this Sunday, Oct. 23, the Champlain Bridge will be closed to motor vehicles at night until Tuesday, Oct. 25.

Starting Sunday evening, the bridge will be closed between 8 p.m and 5 a.m.

On Monday, Oct. 24 and Tuesday, Oct. 25 it will be closed between 10 p.m and 5 a.m.

The National Capital Commission (NCC) said the closures are in preparation for the reopening of the three lanes on Wednesday, Oct. 26.

The work on the bridge will include the removal of jersey barriers and line paintings.

The bridge and sidewalk will remain open for active users and the NCC is urging users to exercise caution while using the roadway.

Users are also urged to respect working crews and equipment and also to obey signage and flag persons on-site.
