UPDATE: Open-air fire ban lifted

An open-air fire ban that was issued for the city of Ottawa has been lifted. 

Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) implements a ban on open-air fires based on environmental conditions in order to prevent the rapid spread of fire due to grass and brush fires.

OFS said in a release the ban was implemented due to the wind conditions.
