Shawn Pankow is still the mayor of Smiths Falls after winning his re-election bid.
He won 1,635 votes, while the only other challenger for the position, Justin Duhamel, claimed 944 votes on election night.
Two town councillors decided not to run again, and Coun. Wendy Alford is out after failing to break the top six of the vote tally.
Jennifer Miller and Stephen Robinson have been elected to the town's council and former Dawn Quinn has made a comeback after losing her seat in 2018.
Pankow told Wake Up With Rob Snow on Oct. 27 that advancing some of the policies he was talking about before the election campaign remain priorities.
One of the big issues he would like to address is replacing underground pipes in Smiths Falls, and working on maker the town safer for residents by building more pedestrian crossovers and affordable housing units.
