While airlifting a patient to an Ottawa hospital last week, an Ornge air ambulance was hit with two laser pointers.
On Oct. 25, an Ornge Ottawa based air ambulance helicopter was struck by a blue laser while transporting a patient from Alfred. The laser was pointed into the helicopter multiple times as it was taking off.
Then, a green laser pointed into the cockpit from the east side of the Experimental Farm as the helicopter was approaching the Civic Hospital.
A report has been filed with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) and Transport Canada.
No injuries were reported and the transport was made successfully.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the OPS or Crime Stoppers.
