Strong, gusty winds are expected this weekend for Ottawa and the Gatineau region.
According to Environment Canada, strong and southerly wind gusts up to 70 km/h to 80 km/h are expected Saturday night and could ease Sunday morning.
The weather agency warns that loose objects may be tossed by high winds and can cause injury or damage. Isolated power outages are possible, they add. Hydro Ottawa tweeted on Friday, Nov. 4, that they are ready to respond to any power outages this weekend.
Strong winds with gusts up to 70km/h are expected Saturday across the city. Should any outages occur, our crews are ready to respond.

This also comes as 'above-average' temperatures are expected for Ottawa and the Valley this weekend. Weather specialist John Wilson told CityNews that warm temperatures could continue into the week.
“And the reason of course is high pressure which has been sitting here for days and days and the sun beating down on us and now the south-west winds on the rear end of the high and that just increases our heat content,” he explained.
Wilson predicts above-average daytime temperatures will continue, even after a cold front moves through on Sunday.
