Perth woman facing drug charges following police raid

A woman from Perth is facing multiple charges following a drug raid.

On Thursday, Nov. 10, members of the East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), the Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Emergency Response Unit (ERT) and OPP Canine Unit executed a search warrant at a residence Perth.

Officers seized drugs including cocaine, crack cocaine, Hydromorphone, unidentified pills and $1,200.

The raid was the result of a police investigation that began in October. 

Kelly Giff, 41, of Perth, faces the following charges:

  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance (Cocaine)
  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance (Crack Cocaine) 
  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance (Hydromorphone) 
  • Possession of proceeds obtained by crime (Canadian currency) 

The OPP said additional charges may be applicable following a complete drug analysis by Health Canada. 

The accused was held in custody and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, Nov. 14, 2022.
