Police arrest second person in connection to Grenfell Crescent shooting

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Guns and Gangs Unit charged a second person in relation to a shooting that took place earlier this month.

The incident took place on Nov. 12 in the 100 block Grenfell Crescent where a female victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Ahmed Sami, 22, of Ottawa, has been charged with multiple firearm-related offences, including discharging a firearm, assault, and other drug charges.

Last week, Adonai Tekie, 23, of Ottawa, appeared in show cause court on Nov. 24. Tekie has been charged with multiple firearm offences, including discharging a firearm and aggravated assault.
