UPDATE: Ottawa fire responding to large barn fire in Navan

Ottawa firefighters were at the scene of a large barn fire on the 4300 block of Dunning Road, Navan, asking residents to avoid the area.

Ottawa Fire Services were on the scene of the multiple structure fire around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13, reporting multiple collapsed structures.

Firefighters worked to contain the blaze and protect another nearby building.

The fire was determined to be under control by 6:30 p.m.

Firefighters continue to work the scene with two excavators to move debris so hot spots can be extinguished.

There are no reported injuries at this time. The fire investigator has been called in to determine the cause of the fire.
