Firefighters protect Carp home from fire in detached workshop

Ottawa Fire Services responded to a fire in a detached workshop on a residential property in Carp, around 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13.
The 450 square metre workshop was engulfed in flames upon their arrival, and just 20 minutes later the building's roof collapsed.
As the fire was located in a rural area without any nearby fire hydrants, firefighters used a “water shuttle” system whereby tanker trucks bring water to the scene.
