Ottawa woman $100K richer after saying yes to Encore

Saying yes to Encore paid off for Margaret Deochand of Ottawa.
She matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the July 27, 2022 Lotto 6/49 draw to win $100,000 She also won $3 on her LOTTO 6/49 play bringing her total winnings to $100,003.
Deochand said she has been a regular lottery player for over 10 years, and her favourite games are Lotto 6/49 and Lotto Max.
“I always say yes to Encore,” she shared while at the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.
She said when she checked her ticket at the store and saw the Big Winner screen appear, she was convinced it wasn’t true.
“I went home to process my feelings, then went back to the store to check it again,” she added. “I was so happy to see the same message.”
She plans to put some of her winnings towards her mortgage and bills and will consider doing some work around her house.
“I also plan to tuck some aside for travel when I’m ready,” Deochand said. “I feel blessed, happy and overwhelmed. I am so thankful,”
The winning ticket was purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart on Meadowlands Drive in Ottawa.
