No injuries after deck fire on Baseline Road

There are no injuries after a deck and hot tub went up in flames in Ottawa.

Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) responded to a home on Baseline Road, between Morley Boulevard and Lexington Street, around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22, after several calls reporting a fire.

The first crew got to the scene within five minutes of being dispatched and a working fire was declared upon arrival.

The fire was extinguished within 10 minutes and damage was contained to the rear deck and a hot tub.

An Ottawa fire investigator will not be required in this case.
