Fire in Les Suites Hotel is fifth of the day

The Ottawa Police Service have closed off the streets around Les Suites Hotel on Besserer Street as firefighters respond to a fire on the top floor.
When firefighters arrived at the hotel on Besserer Street just after 4:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon, Feb. 4, heavy black smoke and flames could be seen coming from the top of the building.
Police have closed off Dalhousie Street between Besserer Street and Rideau Street, and Besserer Street between Waller Street and Nicholas Street.
Firefighters and police are asking people to avoid the area.
The hotel fire is the fifth fire Ottawa Fire Services has had to tackle today since 2 a.m.
