Man faces charges after OPP seize crossbows, several knives at Pembroke residence

A 26-year-old is facing weapons-related charges after police located multiple weapons at a Pembroke residence.
On March 9, the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment (UOV) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an unwanted person call at a residence on Cecil Street.
Police then located and seized crossbows and several knives, including a prohibited knife at the residence.
Michael Stein, 26, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) offences:
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order – three counts.
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition.
The accused was released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Pembroke on April 25, 2023.
