Quebec police have charged two people with human trafficking-related offences in Ottawa, Gatineau and the Montreal area.
The pair are accused of forcing others to enter prostitution between April and July, last year.
The investigation was conducted by the Sûreté du Québec and the Gatineau police. Police said there may be other victims in other parts of Quebec and across the country.
Charged are Stephanie Lafrance, 34, and Kevin Zamor-Louis, 27, both from Brossard. Police said Zamor-Louis also used the nicknames “James,” “Slow,” “Michael,” “Nike,” “Ghost” and “Columbo.”
The two appeared in court on April 13 at the Gatineau Courthouse and are facing various charges.
