Charges laid in South Keys homicide

Charges have been laid charges in the South Keys homicide.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) was called to a two-storey home on 1200 Pebble Road, a residential street northeast of Bank Street and Hunt Club Road, after one man was attacked a little before 9:30 a.m on Monday morning.

Ottawa Paramedics told CityNews, the man was rushed to hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries and died from those injuries. OPS has identified the victim as 37-year-old Corey St Cyr.

Police say a suspect was also arrested at the scene.

The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit has now charged 59-year-old Michael Young, of Ottawa, with manslaughter and he is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
