Three teens arrested in connection with arson fires in Aylmer

Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with a string of arson fires in Aylmer.

The Service de police de la Ville de Gatineau (SPVG) arrested the three teens in late April following an investigation into multiple fires between April 9-11.

Officers were called to six separate scenes, on Parker, Dalhousie, Thomas, Bancroft, Lord-Aylmer and du Couvent streets.

Most of the fires had been started in containers intended for garbage or recycling, while one broke out in a shed.

The SPVG says there were no injuries involved.

The teenagers will face arson charges but cannot be named due to their ages.
