Ottawa fire crews respond to fire on Russell Road

Ottawa Fire Dispatch received numerous 911 calls starting at 8:25 am on Saturday, stating smoke was coming from a unit on Russell Rd. Once crews arrived on scene and entered the unit, they declared a working fire due to the heavy smoke they encountered.

The fire was out on arrival and fans were brought in to ventilate the home. The fire was declared under control at 8:38 am.

There were no reported injuries to any occupants or first responders during this incident.

An Ottawa Fire Investigator has been dispatched to the scene to determine the origin and cause of the fire.
