Bargain hunters gear up for Great Glebe Garage Sale

The Glebe will be packed with thrifty shoppers this weekend for the annual Great Glebe Garage Sale.
The annual rain-or-shine event gives people a chance to hunt down good deals while helping out the community, as some of the money raised is donated to the Ottawa Food Bank.
Glebe homeowners are the primary vendors, offering up deals on their front lawns, driveways and porches, though community centres, businesses, schools and churches also participate.
The sale runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but some people show up as early as 6 a.m. to get first dibs on the best deals.
Parking is limited and you are encouraged to use public transit if possible.
The annual community event has been organized by the Glebe Community Association since 1986.
