No reported injuries after fire in Cumberland

 

Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) knocked down a fire in Cumberland over the weekend.

A 9-1-1 caller reported black smoke coming from a home on Dunning Road, near Régimbald Road, shortly after 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Firefighters arrived on scene and confirmed black smoke coming from the first and second floors of a two-storey home.

Crews worked to combat flames at the front and side of the home and the fire was brought under control at 6:42 p.m.

There are no injuries reported.

A fire investigator has been called in to determine the origin and cause.
