Ottawa no longer under open-air fire ban

The open-air fire ban has been lifted for Ottawa.

Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) lifted the ban on Tuesday, June 27, after it was in place for several days.

The OFS is reminding residents they still need a permit for fires, and tp call the burn line before starting a fire.

When a ban is in place it includes a ban on agricultural burns, brush pile burns, and campfires. This also goes for properties that have an open-air fire permit for things like backyard pits.
