Prescott and Russell under severe thunderstorm warning

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of eastern Ontario.
“At 6:05 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to toonie size hail and heavy rain,” said the weather agency.
The warning is one of two advisories, which also includes a severe thunderstorm watch.
Environment Canada said weather conditions also include wind gusts of up to 90 km/h, while a tornado is still possible.
A tornado warning was issued earlier this afternoon for some parts of eastern Ontario, but has since ended.
Locations impacted include: Hawkesbury, Rockland, Bourget, Westminster and Voyageur Provincial Park.
