Firefighters help individual out of vehicle after it rolls over on its side in Kanata area parking lot

Ottawa firefighters helped one person from a car after it rolled over and landed on its side in a Kanata parking lot on Aug. 16, 2023.

Firefighters helped an individual out of their vehicle after it rolled over and landed on its side in Kanata parking lot on Aug. 16.

Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) received a call just after 9:45 a.m. about the vehicle and responded to the collision in the 1100 block of Klondike Road.

OFS said the vehicle rolled over and landed on the driver’s side in the parking lot.

After arriving at the scene, firefighters quickly stabilized the vehicle and began the extrication process. They used specialized tools to remove the driver out.

The driver has been transported to hospital and is in serious but stable condition according to paramedics.
