Ottawa man facing several charges including attempted murder in Centretown stabbing incident

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has laid several charges, including attempted murder, against a 61-year-old Ottawa in connection to stabbing incident in the Centretown area.

Ottawa paramedics told CityNews Ottawa that they were called to the scene at the intersection of Bank and Gloucester streets just after 1 p.m on Monday, Aug. 21, where a man and woman were found with stab wounds.

Both victims were transported to hospital, where they remain with serious injuries.

James Gemmill has been charged with:

Attempted murder
Assault with a weapon
Assault causing bodily harm
Possession of a weapon for committing an offence
Breaching conditions
