One person, 64, dies after boat flips over on St. Lawrence River west of Brockville

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal marine collision on the St. Lawrence river, west of Brockville, on Saturday, Sept. 2.
According to an OPP release, Leeds County officers responded to the incident on Saturday morning at roughly 8 a.m. near Butternut Bay.
Other police agencies including the RCMP and the Brockville police were also called to the area.
Police had initially called the incident a marine collision.
Two people were in the vessel, and a 64-year-old from Leeds and the Thousand Islands Township was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not identified the deceased person.
The second person was taken to hospital. Their condition has not been updated.
The investigation continues.
