The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is looking to the public for help in identifying a man involved in a bank robbery in the city’s east end.
Officials say on Wednesday, Sept. 7, the suspect entered the bank on Montreal Rd., just east of Vanier Pkwy, brandished a knife, and demanded money.
The man left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The male suspect is described as in his late 20s, Black, 5’8″ to 5’9″, with facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black and grey jacket, jeans, sunglasses, and a green Oakland Athletics baseball hat with a yellow brim.
Police said the suspect inadvertently discarded evidence at the scene, which they say will assist in his identification.
