Members of the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) and by-law officials are out this week in the Sandy Hill area talking to residents regarding this weekend’s Panda Game.
The annual Panda Game between the Carleton Ravens and the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 1 at TD Place.
We will be door-knocking in multiple areas today and tomorrow with our colleagues from @OttawaPolice to remind students about celebrating the upcoming #PandaGame in a safe and respectful manner.

The Panda Game has been marred by controversy over the past few years over loud parties and celebrations in the Sandy Hill area.
In 2022, over 80 provincial offence notices were issued for open alcohol and Ottawa By-law handed out over 100 parking tickets as well.
In 2021, following the football game between the University of Ottawa’s Gee Gees and Carleton Ravens, celebrations quickly escalated. Thousands of students flooded the Sandy Hill neighbourhood, and some students could be seen on social media flipping a car.
Soyez bon voisin.
