In thrilling fashion, the University of Ottawa (uOttawa) Gee-Gees beat the Carleton Ravens by a final score of 18-16 to win the 54th annual Panda Game at TD Place on Sunday, Oct. 1.
The game, which is normally played on a Saturday, was played on a Sunday this year due to the Ottawa Redblacks playing at home the day before.
In the dying seconds of regulation, a 55-yard walk-off field goal from Campbell Fair gave the Gee-Gees the win.

The win marks the Gee-Gees fifth straight Panda Game victory.
Members of the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) and by-law officials were out this week in the Sandy Hill area talking to residents regarding this weekend’s Panda Game.
The OPS warned that there will be extra presence from officers and by-law officials before, during and after the game.
We will have extra officers on the road & are working closely with @OttawaPolice. Enjoy the #PandaGame, but don’t forget to respect your neighbours!

The Panda Game has been marred by controversy over the past few years over loud parties and celebrations in the Sandy Hill area.
In 2022, over 80 provincial offence notices were issued for open alcohol and Ottawa By-law handed out over 100 parking tickets as well.
In 2021, following the football game between the University of Ottawa’s Gee Gees and Carleton Ravens, celebrations quickly escalated. Thousands of students flooded the Sandy Hill neighbourhood, and some students could be seen on social media flipping a car.
Don’t invite us to the party. Keep gatherings under control with visitors you know. #PandaGame
