Police investigating fatal incident in Little Italy

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is investigating a fatal incident that took place earlier this week in Little Italy.

Officers were called to the area of Preston and St. Anthony streets at around 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 2, where they “discovered a 39-year-old man that had succumbed to injuries.”

Police told CityNews Ottawa that the victim was a pedestrian and that they have no further information due to the ongoing investigation.

Investigators ask anyone in the area between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. with dashcam footage to contact the OPS Fatal Collision Investigation Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 2345.

Anyone who believes they may have information on this incident is also asked to call police or submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or crimestoppers.ca.
