Police seeking suspect in west end robbery

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Robbery Unit is looking for a suspect involved in a robbery earlier this summer in Bells Corners.

At approximately 2:30 pm on June 21, a lone suspect met with the victim to purchase a cell phone. The suspect pulled out what was described as a taser and stole the phone and fled the area in a vehicle nearby.

The suspect is described as a woman, possibly middle eastern with a light skin complexion, 19-22-years-old, 5’6” – 5’ 8” and a heavier build. She has a tattoo on her left inside forearm possibly in Arabic writing, a tattoo or writing on her right forearm and a tattoo of a scorpion (or similar) on her left upper chest area.
