A report presented to the City of Ottawa’s Transit Commission shows that OC Transpo experienced it’s highest ridership last month since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March of 2020.

According to OC Transpo’s report, there were 6.4 million passenger trips on buses and the O-Train’s Confederation Line in September of 2023.

That number was an increase of 500,000 trips compared to September of 2022.

Para Transpo ridership is also continuing to approach pre-pandemic levels and is 18 per cent higher than it was a year ago September.

Response times on Para Transpo also decreased from 4:01 to 3:27 minutes, while on-time performance decreased by two per cent.
