Brockville police seize $160K worth of drugs and cash during traffic stop, arrest two people from Ottawa

Two people from Ottawa have been arrested after officers with the Brockville Police Service (BPS) seized $160,000 worth of drugs, money and a knife during a traffic stop over the weekend.
Brockville police said they conducted a traffic stop on Sunday, Oct. 29 at roughly 2 a.m. in the area of Central Avenue.
“During the stop, it was discovered that the occupants were in possession of a large quantity of various drugs, a knife and cash,” Brockville police said in a release.
Police seized methamphetamine, fentanyl, hash, morphine pills, Adderall pills, Hydromorphone pills, Xanax, Benzo tabs, cocaine, steroids and $7,300 in money. The total approximate street value of this seizure, according to police, is $160,000.
Three people, including a 54-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man from Ottawa, were arrested and charged with eight counts of possession of a substance in schedule I, two counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking a substance in schedule IV, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose and possession of illicit cannabis.
The other person facing charges was a 35-year-old from Brockville.
